MY STORY
Hey there! My name is Allie and I am the artist behind Violet Moon Visuals! I'd like to give you a little bit of my backstory, I’m originally from a small town in New York but I moved to North Carolina at a young age and consider it like a second home. I lived in Chapel Hill for about six years before I moved to Greensboro for my college career, where I attended The University of North Carolina at Greensboro and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. My studies in University were concentrated in Art Education and Photography. I loved working in the education field, especially when I got to work with little ones in elementary schools, but I love working in the photography field even more!
In my free time, I will jump at any opportunity to use my camera or learn new techniques and skills in photography. I also absolutely love spending time with my adorable pups named Seymour and Daisy; I’m a huge animal lover in general! I rescued both of my fur babes from the SPCA of the Triad in Greensboro. Seymour was 6 months old when I adopted him, and Daisy was 1 year old; they were each two of the best decisions I’ve ever made! I have a lot of other hobbies including spending time and traveling with my wonderful partner Richard, makeup and fashion, puzzles, video games, reading, watching movies, and basically any activity that gives me the opportunity to express myself and create art!
Photography has always been a staple in my life. I remember all the different stages I went through growing up and the presence of photography every step of the way. Starting with when my parents would give me disposable cameras to run around with as a kid, to getting my first digital camera as a teenager, to getting my first high quality DSLR camera and film camera in college! Photography is something that has been interwoven into every part of my life and my story, and my work in this business gives me the opportunity to do what I love to do more than anything else!
